Our Story
Music has never been a casual hobby for Wiley Lowe; it has been a lifelong reckoning. The journey began in the disciplined rows of a fifth-grade orchestra, wrapped around the massive frame of a double bass. That early introduction to deep, resonant low-ends laid the foundation, but it was the gritty, electric roar of a guitar in middle school that truly set the trajectory. From that moment on, Wiley became a fixture of the underground music scene, cutting his teeth and sweating it out in countless bands across many different genres.
Over the years, Wiley’s formidable talent as a multi-instrumentalist earned him a spot sharing stages with some of the biggest names in rock and alternative music. His resume boasts direct support slots for heavy hitters like Hed PE, regional runs with southern-rock staples Framing the Red, and opening for multi-platinum rockers Hinder.
But of all the lights and loud amplifiers, one night stands above the rest—a core memory that permanently fused Wiley’s life, loss, and lyricism.
In 2020, Wiley played a high-octane show opening for post-grunge icons Soul Asylum and Local H. Looking out into the crowd, he saw his father watching him play. It would be the last time Wiley ever saw him alive. Later that year, his father passed away. The profound weight of that loss, juxtaposed against the highest peak of a rock-and-roll stage, became the emotional catalyst for everything to come.
Out of grief, grit, and decades of musical evolution comes Wiley’s definitive original project: Wiley and the Coyotes.
Wiley and the Coyotes represent a bold sonic frontier. Driven by a lifetime of professional musicianship, the band effortlessly weaves heavy instrumentation with raw, deeply personal storytelling. It is music born in the orchestra room, forged in the rock clubs, and sustained by the ghosts and triumphs of a real life lived out loud.
